WORLDSBK MOST SUPERPOLE RESULTS: Jonathan Rea in 6 out of 6 at most

With a pole position in Most, Jonathan Rea maintained his perfect Superpole qualifying record for the 2021 WorldSBK Championship season.

Jonathan Rea created history as the first rider to clinch Superpole around the Most Autodrom, making it six WorldSBK pole positions in six attempts.

The WorldSBK is making its first visit to the Central European venue this weekend, as well as the first time the series has visited the Czech Republic since the most previous event in Brno in 2008.

Despite the unfamiliar ground, Rea was still at his sharpest around the high-speed track, rebuffing a charge by WorldSBK title rival Toprak Razgatlioglu to snatch the top spot in the final moments of the session.

Rea will start Race 1 and the Superpole Race from pole position after finishing the session with a time of 1m 31.684secs, a tenth of a second faster than the Turkish rider.

Scott Redding, despite losing a half-second to Rea in front, remains in third place on the factory Ducati, while Tom Sykes rediscovered some of his best Superpole form to place the factory BMW M 1000 RR in fourth place.

Andrea Locatelli followed up his breakthrough podium at Assen with a fifth-place finish on the grid, ahead of Yamaha teammate Garrett Gerloff on the GRT machine.

Leon Haslam led the Honda challenge in seventh place, ahead of Michael Ruben Rinaldi of Ducati and Alex Lowes of Kawasaki, with privateer Motocorsa Ducati rider Axel Bassani in tenth place.

On their YART Yamaha R1s, wildcards Marvin Fritz and Karel Hanika slid back to 12th and 13th, respectively, after running inside the top 10 on Friday.
