Tomac will be a part of the Monster Energy/Star Yamaha Racing Team

Energy Star Monster For the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross seasons, Yamaha Racing is pleased to announce the addition of Eli Tomac to the team. The multi-time champion joins freshly crowned 2021 Pro Motocross Champion Dylan Ferrandis to round out a formidable lineup. Christian Craig will join the duo for the outdoor season aboard the Yamaha YZ450F after competing for a Supercross title in the 250 class.

Tomac possesses a wealth of experience and has proven himself to be a championship contender. He gained the coveted 450SX Championship to his resume in 2020, in addition to his three consecutive Pro Motocross 450MX titles from 2017 to 2019. The Colorado native has a long list of triumphs and is now the most successful rider in both premier class championships.

The Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing 450 Team is coming off a successful premier season in the premier class. The team had a great Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season after a strong start in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, with all three riders winning their first 450SX podium and finishing comfortably inside the top-10 in the standings. Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. was named Manufacturer of the Year, and the Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing Team was named Team of the Year, in addition to Ferrandis clinching the championship a weekend early. Jeremy Coker was named Team Manager of the Year, and Ferrandis’ technician, Alex Campbell, was named 450 Mechanic of the Year.
