On Friday, Massimiliano Allegri returned to Juventus as coach, just hours after Andrea Pirlo decided to step down.
Allegri led Juventus to five straight Serie A wins, four league and cup doubles, and two Champions League final appearances. Two years ago, he was fired from the club.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is back in charge. “Allegri returns to a bench that he knows very well, a club that he loves and that loves him back to begin today a new adventure together toward new goals,” Juventus said in a statement.
Allegri, 53, is said to have signed to a three-year contract with the club.
