Several NASCAR drivers have been suspended as a result of the Kansas penalties

For issues resulting from last weekend’s Xfinity and Cup races at Kansas Speedway, NASCAR issued several penalties on Tuesday, including multiple suspensions.

Adam Stevens, the crew chief for Cup series driver Christopher Bell and the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team, has been suspended and fined $20,000 for his conduct.

Following last Sunday’s race, the No. 20 was found to have two lug nuts that were not secure. This weekend, JGR has named Tyler Allen, a team racing engineer, as the interim crew chief for Stevens.

Following Sunday’s race, crew chiefs Paul Wolfe (Joey Logano) and Johnny Klausmeier (Aric Almirola) were each fined $10,000 for having one lugnut that was not safe and secure on their respective cars.

Three members of Our Motorsports’ No. 23 team – crew chief Kenneth Roettger, crew member Robert Anderson, and car chief Drew Beason – have been punished for four races in the Xfinity Series after the No. 23 team lost ballast on the track during the race last Saturday.

Last weekend, Patrick Emerling was driving the No. 23. The Our Motorsports suspensions would be carried over to the 2022 season with only two races remaining in the 2021 season.

Following last Saturday’s race, crew chiefs Jason Trinchere and Jeff Meendering were both fined $5,000 for having one lug nut that was not safe and secure on their respective cars.
