Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has revealed that the squad won’t be pleased with their present position on racetrack after rumors emerged claiming that AlphaTauri could experience some significant changes in the future.

In the heat of speculation about AlphaTauri’s prospects, Helmut Marko admits that there is “understandable” displeasure with the squad’s current performance level.
The team is reportedly trying to either relocate to a more cost-effective location or sell the team altogether, according to latest reports of a prospective sale.
Auto Motor Und Sport claims that AlphaTauri’s owners, Red Bull, have the option of moving the team to England in order to increase its productivity or selling it to another possible F1 team.

During pre-season testing in Bahrain, Marko responded to questions from the media, including RacingNews365.com, by saying: “They are rumours that come from somewhere. We don’t react to that.
“If a decision is taken, it will be up to the shareholders.”
Marko: It makes sense to not be happy with 9th position
After placing sixth in last year’s Constructors’ Championship, AlphaTauri dropped to 9th position in 2022. Red Bull, their sister team, won the Constructors’ Championship for the first time since 2013.

Marko thinks that the gap in achievement between the two squads may cause some anxiety.
It makes sense that they are unhappy with AlphaTauri’s ninth-place finish, Marko said.

“If, on one side, you have a team like Red Bull, which wins the World Championship, while its sister team comes ninth, it means that synergies are not being used properly.
“Then, of course, it is normal to make considerations, and the shareholders ask for accountability.”
