During the last test day, the Ferrari racer topped the speed ahead of George Russell.

On the last Formula 1 test day’s morning lap, Charles Leclerc took the lead over George Russell.

Felipe Drugovitch finished third fastest and the Ferrari racer’s best time was 1:31.024, which was four tenths faster than the Mercedes.

Leclerc first found it difficult to record his quickest time because the Ferrari lost traction. The Monegasque went wide at Turn 11 and was obviously upset in the car.

Subsequently, the Ferrari racer moved to racing runs to finish the practice, completing a total of 67 laps while running stints on the softer range of Pirelli compounds.

There was only one stoppage, which occurred at Turn 8 when Valtteri Bottas stopped on the racetrack due to a technical problem. On the way out of Turn 7, the Alfa Romeo seemed to lose control, preventing the Fin from continuing to race.

Perez has trouble keeping up with Verstappen

Verstappen’s perfect time was over a second slower than Sergio Perez’s best, which was all he could manage to finish fourth.

After the Red Bull squad experienced an oil leak earlier that negatively impacted much of their racing, the racer completed 69 laps without suffering any severe problems.

In the Williams, Alex Albon was sixth fastest, but  most of his laps had a lot of oversteer on corner exit. It is obvious that the team has not yet found the ideal car setup.

For Haas, Nico Hulkenberg completed 77 laps with a best time that was sixth fastest.

Continued issues with McLaren

Oscar Piastri took the wheel of the McLaren, but the squad had trouble on the last day.

Afterwards, the team confirmed that there is a “small structural issue” that should be resolved in time for the Grand Prix the following weekend. The team was observed working on the front wheelbrows of the car once more.

This still cost Piastri the opportunity to race, and when he did finally exit, the MCL60 appeared to be difficult for him to balance.

His best time placed him ahead of Nyck De Vries and Bottas for eighth fastest, respectively.
