Later this month at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Hailie Deegan will compete in her first NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race.
21-year-old Deegan now participates in the NASCAR Truck Series full-time.
She competes for David Gilliland Racing, has made 44 consecutive starts, has three top-ten finishes, and is presently ranked 21st in the overall rankings. Her sixth-place result at Talladega over the weekend was her greatest performance to date.
Her last finish in the 2020 ARCA Menards Series championship standings was third. Additionally, she has three triumphs in the current ARCA West Series.
Deegan joined the Ford Performance Driver Development Program following the 2019 racing year.
On October 15th, she will make her Xfinity start in Vegas while racing the No. 07 SS Green Light Racing Ford Mustang that is supported by Pristine Auction. Cole Custer helped the squad win their debut NXS race at Auto Club Speedway earlier this year.
“I really just wanted to make my debut, for sure, on a mile-and-a-half because that’s where I feel the most comfortable,” said Deegan in a video posted to YouTube. “I wanted to get my feet wet in the Xfinity Series.
“I don’t know yet what I’m going to be doing next year. I wish I knew and had it figured out already, but we’re still working through a few things. No news on that yet, but at least for the time being, we’re going for our first Xfinity race in Las Vegas. I could not be more excited.”
