Kyle Busch’s crew chief has been suspended by NASCAR

NASCAR suspended Kyle Busch’s crew chief on Tuesday for an incident that happened during last weekend’s race at the Charlotte Roval.

Busch’s No. 18 Toyota was discovered to have two lug nuts that were not safe and secure after the race on Sunday. He came in fourth place in the race.

Busch’s crew chief, Ben Beshore, has been suspended from Sunday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway due to the infraction. He was also fined $20,000 for his actions.

Seth Chavka, the race engineer for the No. 18 car, will serve as Beshore’s interim crew chief this week.

Three extra fines were issued to crew chiefs for having one lug nut that was not safe and secure.

Cup crew chiefs Chris Gabehart (driver Denny Hamlin) and Scott Graves were each fined $10,000. (driver Chris Buescher). Alex Yontz, the crew chief for the Xfinity Series, was fined $5,000. (driver Justin Haley).
