In 2021-22, how will Juventus line up with Ronaldo?

Cristiano Ronaldo stated he would be staying at the Allianz Stadium for the 2021/22 season, giving Juventus a boost on the pitch.

Over the summer, reports emerged that Ronaldo was dissatisfied in Turin and had instructed his agent, Jorge Mendes, to find him a new team.

Following that, he was connected with a return to Manchester United, Real Madrid, or Sporting CP, as well as a financially valuable transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, where he would join Lionel Messi.

Despite his age, Ronaldo is still one of the world’s most devastating strikers.

Despite the fact that Juventus had lost Serie A to Inter and had only just qualified for the Champions League in 2020/21, Ronaldo was still in fine form at the top of the pitch.

He scored 36 goals in 41 starts across all competitions, including 29 in Serie A.

He promised his immediate future to Juve in an Instagram post ahead of the new Serie A season, while criticizing the media outlets who reported on his alleged wish to quit.

So, how will Juventus line up under new head coach Massimiliano Allegri now that CR7 is in the fold?

Juventus XI with Ronaldo

When Milan revealed that Gianluigi Donnarumma would not be renewing his contract, the general consensus was that the Italian would join Juventus.

Instead, he joined PSG, leaving Wojciech Szczesny as the number one goalkeeper.

Juan Cuadrado will be asked to play at right-back with Alex Sandro on the left if Allegri opts for a 4-4-2 formation, which is highly likely.

Giorgio Chiellini was one of the greatest players at Euro 2020, and he recently extended his contract with Juventus for another year.

Of course, he’ll see plenty of game, but Leonardo Bonucci and Matthijs de Ligt will be called upon more frequently as first-team starters.

Manuel Locatelli is Juventus’ only major summer addition, and he will join Rodrigo Bentancur and Adrien Rabiot in a midfield three.

For the time being, Arthur and Weston McKennie, as well as Aaron Ramsey, will be available in reserve.

Federico Chiesa excelled for Italy in the Euros, and he should start on the right side of a front three alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.

When Allegri needs a more well-known focal point in attack, Alvaro Morata will be available.

Dejan Kulusevski and Federico Bernardeschi are also expected to play.
