This weekend’s race at the Circuit Paul Ricard will be Lewis Hamilton’s 300th Grand Prix, making him the sixth racer in F1 history to reach that milestone.
At the French Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton will achieve a unique milestone, joining a select group of former and current Formula One racers.
The British driver will have competed in 300 Grands Prix during his F1 career as of the start of the action at the Circuit Paul Ricard.
Hamilton has only skipped one Grand Prix since making his McLaren debut in 2007—the Sakhir race in 2020 when he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
The most recent retirement of Kimi Raikkonen, who has competed in 350 Grands Prix, puts Hamilton in sixth place all-time.
Fernando Alonso, who is rapidly reaching 345 Grands Prix and is expected to tie Raikkonen for first place at the Italian Grand Prix this year, is lagging behind Raikkonen in the standings.
Other racers now sitting ahead of Hamilton include Rubens Barrichello (323), Michael Schumacher (307), and Jenson Button (306).
With 288 entries to his name, seventh overall finisher Sebastian Vettel is also included in the top 10.
