In comparison to his former workplace environment at Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas confesses that he can “feel the difference” at Alfa Romeo.

Following a five-year tenure with the Silver Arrows, the Finn is starting the next page of his F1 career with the Swiss team, and he acknowledges that the most noticeable shift has been going from a larger group to a much smaller one.

When questioned about the distinction between the two teams, Bottas told the media, including RacingNews365.com, “I would say you definitely feel the difference.”

“First of all, the size of the team is quite a bit smaller, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing, and at least so far I’ve been enjoying it.”

Bottas still in “adaptation phase” at Alfa Romeo

Bottas is still getting used to his new team at Alfa Romeo, and he claims he is still adjusting.

“There’s so many new people, new things to get used to and learn,” the driver explained.

“And still I would say I’m in the adaptation phase of actually getting properly to know the team and how everything works, but that’s part of learning.”

Despite this, Bottas expects to adjust rapidly to his new environment and is pleased with the atmosphere he has experienced thus far.

“I would say it’s been a pretty quick process of getting used to it,” he added.

“But good vibes, I’ve been really, really enjoying it and, with a bit more track time I would be even happier, but at least it’s been fun.”

Alfa Romeo had some challenges during the first pre-season test in Barcelona, which restricted their runtime, but the squad is sure that they will be able to resolve them before the start of the season.
