Alfa Romeo will update its Formula One team name and logo in 2022

For the 2022 Formula One season, Alfa Romeo’s entry name and logo will be changed.

The name of Alfa Romeo’s Formula One team will be changed for the 2022 season.

Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN will be the team’s official entry name this year, replacing Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN.

On the heels of Robert Kubica’s involvement as a test and reserve driver, ORLEN, a Polish petroleum firm and oil refiner, has become Alfa Romeo’s F1 title sponsor.

The team’s name has been changed, and the new logo has been unveiled.

Alfa Romeo has seen fit to rejuvenate ahead of the season, with F1 entering a new era in terms of regulations in 2022.

“The launch of an updated name represents a new approach for the team, just as the sport enters a brave new era with its new regulations,” read a short statement from the team.

“While, at the same time, preserving the links to the recent past: it’s an identity that conveys a strong statement of commitment from the team’s title partners, Alfa Romeo and ORLEN, which remain with the team in long-term relationships and continue to push the team forward.

The name of the chassis will also change, from Alfa Romeo Racing to Alfa Romeo, as it is submitted to the FIA.

Valtteri Bottas joins the team from Mercedes, along with rookie signing Guanyu Zhou, for the 2022 season.

The debut date of Alfa Romeo’s 2022 automobile has yet to be confirmed.
