Due to his involvement in the exciting F1 British Grand Prix race, Lewis Hamilton was given the FIA Action of the Year honor.

The Action of the Year award was given to Lewis Hamilton at the FIA Prize Giving celebration in Bologna.

The British driver had a challenging season as Mercedes struggled to develop a competitive car for the 2022 season.

Hamilton, though, got himself in the driver’s championship race following a late Safety Car, one of the W13’s few competitive performances.

He overtook both cars in a battle at Silverstone between Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.

The FIA narrowed down a list of contenders from among the numerous FIA racing categories, and Hamilton won the award—chosen by the audience—for his double overtaking.
