Following conversations with Helmut Marko in Austria, a Dutchman seemed destined to enter AlphaTauri in 2023.

Several teams, especially Alpine and Williams, have expressed interest in Nyck de Vries, but RacingNews365.com has discovered that Red Bull will likely snag the reigning Formula E world title.

Following a conversation with Red Bull racing advisor Helmut Marko, the Dutchman seemed destined to join AlphaTauri for 2023 and pair with Yuki Tsunoda.

Everything still depends on Red Bull allowing Pierre Gasly to go to Alpine in favour of Fernando Alonso, as had been previously stated.

Red Bull apparently wants to release Gasly from his contract with them to race for AlphaTauri through the end of 2023, but the Frenchman intends to go to Alpine and wants to quit Red Bull.

Only slots at Williams and Haas would be available for next year if both moves are approved.

De Vries made an impression in Formula One on his race start with Williams at the Italian Grand Prix previous weekend, earning points for the team that is now bottom in the Constructors’ Championship and a top 10 finish.
