Check out this fan-made onboard lap of the upcoming Las Vegas track, which will include a section of the iconic Strip in its design.
Before it debuts on the schedule in 2023, a fan-created version for the Assetto Corsa driving platform has provided the first sight at an onboard lap of the new circuit in Las Vegas.
Formula One recently confirmed this week that the event will comeback to the city for the first time since 1982, this time on a street track that spans the Las Vegas Strip from Sands Avenue to Tropicana Avenue.
The 6.12-kilometer circuit will pass by the MSG Sphere arena, the Paris Las Vegas resort, and the Caesars Palace hotel (whose car park hosted the infamous 1982 event).
Under the username Kronos, a member of Assetto Corsa has uploaded the initial version of the circuit to the iconic sim racing site.
Although still a work in progress, an onboard footage of the track has been supplied, which shows the layout with accuracy to the designs disclosed by F1.
“I recommend using this track at night, as you then can’t see all of the missing buildings I haven’t added in yet,” it was written in the track download description on RaceDepartment.
“As details on the track are slim at the moment, I had to guess a pit lane position and start line. They’re probably wrong, but they’ll be updated when more info comes out.
“Other than that, the track layout matched the one released by F1!”
