Marc Marquez has a training day in Aragon as part of his preparations for the Sepang MotoGP test.
Marc Marquez continues his track preparations for the Sepang MotoGP test next month, this time aboard a CBR600RR at Aragon.
It happened just days after Marquez returned to a road racing circuit for the first time since winning the Misano MotoGP last October with a track day at Portimao on an RC213V-S on a Sunday.
Following nerve damage and double vision troubles in an enduro training accident, the ride indicated that the eight-time world champion’s recuperating right eye could endure the high-speed rigors of MotoGP activity, clearing the way for a MotoGP return in Malaysia.
“I didn’t have any discomfort with my vision,” Marquez said after Portimao. “Since I haven’t ridden in so long, I did notice some physical areas where I’m missing a little bit but this is just because I have not been able to have my usual pre-season.
“We have two weeks until testing begins in Sepang so I will take the opportunity to intensify my physical preparation and train on the bike.”
Last season, Marquez missed the first two races due to a recovering right arm fracture, then the last two owing to an eye disease. In between, he claimed three victories, Honda’s first since 2019, and four podiums.
The MotoGP test in Sepang will take place on February 5 and 6.
