After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Kimi Raikkonen will retire from Formula One, and he’s had some time to reflect on his career in the sport.
Kimi Raikkonen’s 20-year Formula One career will come to an end when the chequered flag drops in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday.
Raikkonen debuted in Formula One with Sauber in 2001, and his quick pace victor him a move to McLaren, where he won his first races and challenged for the world championship. After missing out on the ultimate prize at Woking, he switched to Ferrari and realized his dream in 2007.
Over the course of two decades, the Finn has notched up 18 pole positions, 21 wins, and 103 podiums, while gaining a devoted following for his straightforward and no-nonsense approach.
Ahead of his final race, Raikkonen and F1 collaborated to create a special cartoon of his career, which was voiced by the man himself.
