A new NASCAR team shop might be part of a bigger development project
In a matter of months, 23XI Racing was established. The team will now grow to a two-car operation for next season. But there’s more to come…
According to Mecklenburg County real estate records, 2311 Real Estate Holdings LLC bought 15 acres of land in July.
The land near Huntersville, North Carolina, cost them $3.7. The plot of land is part of a bigger mixed-use project.
Earlier in the year, the mixed-use development was discussed. There are 300 apartments, a hotel, flex space, and commercial office space in the building. Jake Palillo, a Cornelius developer, is the brains behind the project.
“We could not be more excited than to have the joint venture with Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan along with Bubba Wallace coming to Huntersville,” said Mayor John Aneralla earlier this year.
The team currently operates out of the old Premium Motorsports shop.
Kart Busch recently signed with 23XI Racing as a driver. The No. 45 makes a comeback to the game. Michael Jordan wore No. 45 briefly throughout his NBA career.
The second car’s charter has yet to be determined. This charter would provide a starting position in every race.
Hamlin has said before that he wants to create the “Google of race shops.”
