Scott Redding will race in the Superbike World Championship in Aruba for the second year in a row. It is a Ducati. Last year, he made an early impact, adding podiums and victories to finish second overall, threatening to give Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) more effort in the championship race.
The briton stressed the importance of the debut season’s trajectory in ensuring maximal commitment for the following season: ‘Last season was very exciting for me. The great support I received from Ducati and the extraordinary bond with the Aruba.it team were very important and gave me a deep desire to be competitive and win again. For this reason, I’ll give my best to make that step that we missed in 2020’.
Redding believes he has the tools to succeed this year after the experience he gained in 2020: ‘I’m convinced I can do well because last season, I had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience with the Panigale V4 R, know new circuits, and understand the format of an exciting competition like WorldSBK. This will allow me to start on an equal footing with my competitors in 2021. I want to thank all the guys in the team who work hard every day. To the fans, I can say that I will try to entertain them on track to celebrate together at the end”.
