Another challenging year for racers in the Dakar rally. Some of the largest and most unusual wrecks from the event have been compiled.

The Dakar rally in Saudi Arabia has experienced numerous wrecks and some unusual events throughout the exciting competition.

One of the most bizarre incidents had Carlos Sainz Sr., who was being transferred to the hospital, asking the pilot of the helicopter to go back and bring him to his car. It was discovered afterwards that the collision had caused him to sustain many broken bones.

The Century CR6 driven by Michel Kremer and Thomas de Bois was destroyed in a catastrophic wreck in the early stages of the event. Fortunately, neither person was hurt during their escape.

While in the deserts, many spectators were able to capture some of the most amazing scenes.
