Denny Hamlin takes the final slot on the list, according to his recent success. He returned after a winless 2018 season with a combined 13 wins in 2019 and 2020. He currently has 44 career victories, which puts him in a tie for 17th all-time, and he is more than capable of adding to that amount in the coming years.
Unfortunately, he still hasn’t won a championship, but he is the winningest non-champion of all time among drivers who have competed full-time at any point in their careers.

But, with the exception of active drivers, no driver with more than 28 victories is in the NASCAR Hall of Fame, so his 44 wins are significant, especially given the crown jewels he has won. He has won the Daytona 500 three times and the Southern 500 twice. Only four other drivers have achieved multiple victories in both events.
He is ranked #25 in this list, ahead of all but one of the active one-time champions, but that might change — possibly as soon as the 2021 season — depending on what they can accomplish in the remaining years of their careers, particularly Joey Logano, 30, and Chase Elliott, 25.
Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Martin Truex Jr. are among the active one-time champions not included on this list.
