Joey Logano has won 27 races in the NASCAR Cup Series, including the championship in 2018. He has never shied away from confrontation over the years, and has even instigated it on a few times.
Logano revealed how he’s toned it down and isn’t as aggressive anymore during a recent interview on FS1’s NASCAR Race Hub, which has resulted in less appearances on the show’s “Radioactive” section, which previously featured him cursing and in conflicts with other drivers. Don’t be fooled by Joey Logano’s permanent smile. His happy-go-lucky demeanor transforms as he gets himself into his No. 22 car and puts on his helmet. He hasn’t won 27 Cup races, including the 2015 Daytona 500, because he’s been polite to other drivers and fans.
This was not the case at the beginning. Kevin Harvick pushed Logano about early in his NASCAR career. After a while, he became impatient and began to push back.
He’s had collisions with Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, and Denny Hamlin over the years. Since Logano left Joe Gibbs Racing in 2013, he has had an on-again, off-again dispute with Hamlin. They got into it after a race in Martinsville as recently as 2019. They tangled for a brief moment after exchanging remarks, but were quickly separated.

Logano has become more subdued in recent years, according to his own admission. And it’s all on purpose. Logano told presenter Adam Alexander on NASCAR Race Hub that he hasn’t featured on “Radioactive” as much since becoming a father in early 2018, and for another interesting reason.
“I’m not on there as much,” Logano acknowledged. “The dad thing changes a little bit. When you YouTube your name or something and there’s daddy fighting on pit road, maybe I should clean it up a little bit.”
“When you put in Joey Logano and the first word that comes up after the search is fight,” Alexander said laughing.
“You’ve got to change some things here. A couple of things,” Logano confessed.
